What we store when you sign up or write to us
Newsletter sign-ups
When you sign up we store your email address, the topics you picked (if any), which form you used, the page you were on, the consent line you saw next to the button, the time, and the basic request details our server sees (your IP address and browser identifier). That is all.
We use it for one thing: sending you the DC Economics newsletter once it goes out by email. We do not sell or share the list, and there are no third-party marketing tools behind the form; sign-ups go straight into our own publishing system.
We are not sending emails yet. While the newsletter is web-only, your address sits on the list unused. When email delivery starts, the first thing you receive will ask you to confirm you want it, and every email will carry an unsubscribe link.
Contact messages
A message through the contact form is stored with your name, email address, the topic you chose, the message itself and the same request details, so we can read it and reply. Nothing else is done with it.
Deleting your details
Email hello@dc-economics.com from the address you signed up with and we will delete every row that holds it. There is no account to close and nothing to export unless you want a copy, in which case ask and we will send it.
